This near-finished art collection will only be found in Cleveland and Italy (photos)

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Passers-by stopped briefly on W. 25th Street in Ohio early Sunday early morning to search for something brand-new.

In front of them was a bronze sculpture entitled “When I was ill”.

The statue belongs to an art setup called the Matthew 25 Collection; There are an overall of 6 statues by the Canadian artist Timothy Schmalz.

The Jesus statues were meant to motivate discussion to assist individuals in requirement and not to disregard.

Soon, all 6 statues in the collection will be here in the of thanks to the not-for-profit Community West Foundation and its partners.

Two of the sculptures have actually currently been here: one in the Old Stone Church in Square entitled “When I Was Hungry and Thirsty” and one on Fulton Road in the Family Ministry Center entitled “When I Was In Prison”.

Recently set up, one on Saint Malachi Parish on Washington Ave. called “ Jesus”.

The When I Was Naked statue was delivered to and is on screen at Malachi on Clinton Avenue.

In spring 2022, “When I Was A Stranger” will be set up here at The Refugee Response’s head office when the brand-new structure is finished.

will be the 2nd in the world, after Rome in Italy, to have the complete collection of all 6 bronze figures.
